Sewing & Crafts

The more I think about my future the more I realize how incredibly happy I would be to be fully self employed. As an actor I am certainly what you would call self employed but for the other jobs I take on to pay the bills I am not. It’s not that I don’t enjoy these secondary forms of employment, per say, they just leave a little something to be desired. I know that I, as a person, give 100% to any job I undertake so constantly being evaluated by managers and co-workers is exhausting when I already feel like I’m doing everything I possibly can. I would love to be able to just answer to myself and those that employ me temporarily – that way if it works out, great! If not, then we go out separate ways and that’s okay too.

In a perfect dream world I would love it if I could create and sell things from home. It would be the perfect side gig for acting because it would be on my own time and I would be doing things I really enjoy. I would make things for people – from dresses to baked goods. Is there such thing as a seamstress-baker? Not that I know of but I would like to start the trend. But in order to do so I need to make sure my crafting and sewing skills are really up to snuff. So my project for the next few months is to further develop my cooking skills and my artistic skills. I already have a recipe page, so now I introduce you to my other passions: Sewing & Crafts.
